King Abdullah II Fund for Development launches the 11th Cycle of “Darb” Project


A new Cycle of "Darb" Project links between education and practical experience, due to believing in the importance of practical training for university students and its impact on acquisition of practical skills and experiences necessary to enhance their chances of employment.
This Cycle will be implemented online for the second year in a row, where participants will be able to engage in training workshops (Distance learning) due to the circumstances imposed by the Corona pandemic.

The project aims to introduce students to the work environment and raise their awareness of the importance of training, moreover, increase opportunities for practical training in companies, especially in governorates that face limited access to such opportunities. The project helps to enhance awareness of volunteer work and developing the role of youth in initiatives that aim to improve society. Furthermore, it Enhances students' self-confidence in facing difficulties and obstacles that they may encounter in their working life in the future.

The project targets Jordanian University Students and Fresh Graduates who meet a set of criteria.

It is noted that "Darb" project, which has been implemented since 2011 in partnership with the LOYAC Jordan (a non-profit organization), has organized ten Cycles so far that benefited 7240 students, of whom 947 got permanent job opportunities after completing the training.
