King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) is implementing for the thirteenth consecutive year a new cycle of the internship project "Darb".
The initiative stemmed from the importance of practical training for university students and fresh graduates, who are given the opportunity to acquire skills and experiences and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market.
The Drab project, which serves as a link between education and practical experience, aims to introduce participants to the work environment, promote a culture of training, increase the number of available opportunities for internships in public and private sector institutions, especially in the governorates suffering from limited opportunities, and enhance the culture of voluntary work and participants' confidence in themselves to face future challenges in their careers.
The project targets Jordanian university students and fresh graduates under specific conditions.
Those interested can register through the link https://darb.jo/ from April 9 until May 21. Participants in the project will attend a number of preparatory training workshops, in addition to practical training inside the hosting companies for a period of four weeks.
The theoretical training includes various topics such as self-discovery, CV writing, preparation for job interviews, labor market behaviors, volunteering and community service, introduction to practical training, job skills, teamwork, problem-solving and creative thinking, ethics of the labor market and designing community initiatives.
The "Darb" project, which was launched in 2011 in partnership with LOYAC organization, has organized twelve cycles so far, benefiting 12,626 male and female students, of whom 1,022 have secured permanent jobs after completing the training period.
