KAFD Launches New Cycle of ‘Learning through Travel’

The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) has inaugurated a new cycle of the "Learning through Travel" project. The project is designed to cover the costs of youth participation in international events and seminars, including travel and visa expenses, either partially or in full.
The project aims to facilitate the involvement of distinguished young individuals in meaningful extracurricular youth activities worldwide, thus allowing them to gain diverse experiences. Additionally, it aims to provide opportunities for interaction and communication that help foster the acquisition of new skills and experiences, and to activate the youth's potential to benefit their local communities and benefit from the quality opportunities at hand.
The project, which involves a set of terms and conditions, specifically targets talented and creative youths aged between 16 to 40, supporting their participation in a variety of events in the cultural, artistic, entrepreneurial, IT, environmental, tourism, and human development fields.
In addition to supporting participation in international conferences and seminars, the project encourages youth to represent Jordan in Arab and international sports competitions, provided that applicants have received an official invitation or acceptance to participate in such events.
Prospective applicants can apply for support by submitting an application via the link (join.kafd.jo) throughout the year 2024.
KAFD will cover travel and visa expenses either fully or partially, based on the total points accrued by the applicant, as assessed by the ad-hoc committee that holds the personal interviews.

It should be noted that the "Learning through Travel" project was launched in 2006 in line with the KAFD’s mission to nurture a spirit of initiative among entrepreneurial youths and enhance their leadership and creative capacities. It also seeks to network them with regional and international institutions.
Over the past cycles, the project has provided 2,410 opportunities encompassing practical training activities in various fields, attendance at scientific and cultural conferences, and participation in global and sports competitions.
