KAFD launches second cycle of 'Tamkeen' project to support political projects

The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) has launched the second cycle of the "Tamkeen" project to support political projects, reinforcing its role as a national institution that backs the state’s efforts to promote active political participation in line with the political modernization trajectory.
The project targets civil society organizations and non-profit companies engaged in political awareness, offering support for ideas and projects that contribute to advancing political modernization. Winning projects will receive financial support of up to JD20,000, provided they meet specific criteria, including for the applying entity to be a registered, non-governmental Jordanian institution and ensuring that the proposed project aligns with the organization’s objectives and scope of work.
The project aims to raise political awareness within society, enhance youth and women’s participation in political life, and foster a conducive environment for party and political engagement at the local level. Additionally, it seeks to highlight and empower young leaders with the necessary tools for effective political participation and support projects that encourage engagement in local governance councils (municipalities and decentralization bodies).
Interested applicants can submit their funding requests between February 16 and March 6 through the following link: https://join.kafd.jo/.
It is noteworthy that in its first cycle, "Tamkeen" provided support to 10 institutions whose projects focused on spreading political awareness within communities and stimulating political and partisan engagement across various societal segments.
