Aiming to empower the Jordanian Youth and provide them with the skills which qualify them to enter the labor market, and in order to enhance their ability to compete, KAFD signed a MoU with LTUC under which a number of ForUs Portal services will be provided to the College’s students.
In accordance with the Memorandum, college’s students will be introduced to several free services provided by ForUs Portal including training courses, volunteer work opportunities, self-assessment tests on a number of skills and capabilities. This will enable the students to achieve the best benefit of the offered services.
Workshops and courses will be organized through the portal in several fields, in cooperation with a network of elite experts connected to the portal to provide job counselling services to the student aiming to contribute to developing their capabilities, shaping their careers and developing the skills that are usually searched by employers.
ForUs Portal currently includes 24 online job councilors and the total number of beneficiaries of this service reached 460.
The portal provides 8 Self-assessment tests, where it reached 3600 beneficiaries, in addition to a number of diverse online courses and training programs to assist beneficiaries in developing skills relevant to their jobs such as: communication skills, languages, management, business and others. A total of 800 beneficiaries benefitted from this service in total.
It is worthy to mention that KAFD launched the updated platform of ForUs Portal (www.ForUs.jo) aiming to provide services of job counselling, training courses, employment, entrepreneurship, volunteer work in one free online station in cooperation with a number of partnership matrixes of services vendors in these fields.
LTCU grants its own students an educational experience through following up on the market needs and required qualifications and it also builds its educational curriculum in a way that meets all these requirements.
