KAFD Launches New Cycle of App Challenge Competition

The King Abdullah II Fund for Development
launched a new cycle of the App Challenge Competition, aiming to enhance innovative skills among school students and build their capacities in the field of designing and developing electronic games.
The competition, which was first introduced in 2011, also aims to introduce school students to the electronic gaming industry and build a creative young generation capable of elevating Jordan's status in the field of information technology. Additionally, it seeks to promote Jordan through the utilization of modern technology tools

The competition targets school students between the ages of 14 and 16. Interested students can register through the following link: https://appch.kafd.jo
The competition consists of four main stages. The first stage involves inviting school students to attend an orientation session. The second focuses on training selected school students on the fundamentals of programming and game design for five days. In the semi-final stage that follows, the actual development of electronic games takes place over a period of six weeks. Finally, the last stage involves evaluating the qualified teams and announcing the results.
It is worth noting that the competition has successfully completed 15 cycles, providing a total of 5,849 direct and indirect opportunities thus far.
