Jo Shop, one of a development project of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), has opened a new branch at City Mall.
The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Haditha Al-Khreisha, Chairman of the KAFD’s Board of Trustees, and attended by the Chairman of Jo Shop and KAFD’s Director General.
The opening of the new branch is aimed to expand marketing opportunities for small producers and provide a sustainable platform for them to showcase their handcrafts and heritage-inspired local products that embody the national identity and authentically reflect Jordanians’ creativity.
Established by KAFD in 2012, the Jordanian Company for the Promotion of Heritage Products (Jo Shop) is a development-driven initiative designed to empower artisans and small business owners. Towards that end, it provides them with retail space in vibrant commercial locations, helping them reach wider audiences, grow their businesses, and network with local markets actors.
The new outlet features a carefully curated collection of products representing various governorates across the Kingdom—highlighting the richness and diversity of Jordan’s craftsmanship.
With several branches nationwide, Jo Shop continues to contribute to economic empowerment by creating both permanent and seasonal job opportunities. By directly linking small-scale producers with consumers, the initiative strengthens their role in national development and inclusive economic growth.
